When change flowers all around us, we can be ready.
Ruben Esquivel designed Seeds of Change as part of a local Austin artists movement to raise funds and stand in solidarity with the Black community. The piece was painted at our community Willa at 1600 S. 1st Street with help from Zuzu Perkal and Justin Hughes. The installation is part of the “Black Legacy Project” by Ruben Esquivel, Sadé Lawson, Niz, and Zuzu.
Together, these artists have made something at Willa and in Austin that gives us a real chance to take a moment and appreciate something beautiful and do our small part to support the movement.
